I have just upgraded from K2 2.4.1 to K2.6.1 in a Joomla 1.5.26 site.
I have done this as my next step in the next few weeks is to upgrade to Joomla 2.5

In the backend when in item view, If i Click on change author, it no longer opens as a dropdown or popup, but opens up the users in a new page without any sort of navigation.

If I click on one of the authors to change the author nothing happens at all. The only thing I can do is hit the back button in browser.

I have used Akeebas Admin tools to check and fix permission and also same for database. Also I have tried reinstalling K2.6.1, without any luck

For me this is quite urgent.
Is there a fix/solution?
Can I revert back to K2 2.4.1

I do have full akeeba backup, but at this moment dont want to reinstall site, but i have that option in worst case scenario.

Try to clean your browser's cache. I just tested using Firefox with no issues.

I have the same issue and did the same steps (only difference is that my Joomla is 2.5)
Tried clearing cache and even used other browser, that I have not used on this site bfore(including FF)...
Nothing helps.
Anyone can suggest anything else?

Ensure that you are using the latest version of K2. Also check your page for JavaScript errors.

My K2 is - 2.6.2
And I checked with Joomla debug and there is no errors.
Tried a few "no-conflict' plugins to no avail...
The thing is, that that popup settings window works everywhere else in my admin (including the main k2 settings popup), but not in changing authors... :dry:
