I'm not new to K2 (used it a few years ago on another site). But I did download a new version to put on a new Joomla 2.5 site, and the Administration panels failed after install...

So I re-installed, with the same effect. (a package not found in an administration php script).

Seems I wasn't being patient enough. There must be some portion of the installation that runs as a background task that was taking some time.

I went off to do some other tasks, then came back to the site to capture screen shots and dig around in the scripts, but voilá the site is working now...
