since i've got a huge amount of access levels, i need to expand the access level field. By default it only shows about 3-4 levels, which can be a tricky selection with more than 100+ Access levels.

So, i tried to find the setting on how to expand this field. It's pretty easy with Firebug or Chrome, but I can't find the setting in the files. It's neither in the K2 Templates nor in the javascript file.

For the record:
The file one need to edit is located in: libraries/joomla/html/html/access.php

There is only one 'size="3"' - feel free to edit as you want to

Obviously, we have to change something on the "Select" querry or there is any other way to do it.

Hacking core Joomla! files is not a good option. You will lose your changes in the next update. There is no way to change the field size as well as the ordering.

I can see what you mean but i have many access levels and my customers want it...

I will keep the changes in a textfile and i will make them every time i make an upgrade...

I would appreciate if anyone can tell me what i should change to sort the input box...

Searching for an extension that simplifies the ACL in the JED would be preferable.

I agree with you but i do not want to change the functionality, i just want to sort the inputbox
