Call to a member function getSearchValue() on a no was created by Osvaldo

Hi there. I'm getting "Fatal error: Call to a member function getSearchValue() on a non-object in .../administrator/components/com_k2/models/item.php on line 721" when trying to add a new article in front-end.
I've found similar topics about that but none of them with a secure solution. Could you please help me about that? I'm using the latest version of K2.

Hi. This issue has already been fixed. Use the SVN version.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I'm currently using the latest version of non-SVN version. How am I supposed to install the new version? Should I disinstall K2 first and then install the SVN version?

backup your site, download the svn and install it over the top of your existing installation, do not uninstall first
