Is there a way to disable the play Option for Videos in Category View ?

I prefer the Option to show the Vids in this view 'cause Allvideo Plugin can't handle Thumbnails.
But I dont want the User to be able to start the Video in the Category View.

I second this request. Showing multiple videos in Category View is great, but it's unrealistic to play them from that view.

I don't think that is possible without a hack (eg. putting a blank div on top of your player).
I do think however that this practise will ruin you UX.
Imagine users clicking on the vid and getting no reaction, plus you will make your page unnecessary heavy.

You should use a service like this for thumbails and extrafields to display these images.
