Is there any way to show an extra-field as a title (as a substitute ot title) in item layout.
The idea is to create an extra-field for all the articles, called LONGTITLE, and then being able to substitute in the item template the echoing of Title, to show the LONGTITLE field. Is this possible?
The reason is that, as many newspapers websites actually do, I’d prefer to show a short title in front page, and then a longer one in the item page.
Content showing modules as Raxo All Mode or Gavick Gk4 News have the ability to truncate titles according to a given number of characters of words, but this is not a good solution.
The idea is being able to show, for instance, in front Page ‘John is coming’, and inside ‘John, the magnificient, King of Zamunda, is finally coming to the country’, and not, as those modules do, ‘John the magn...’
