solved: Templating with K2 --> template override was created by Wolfgang Winter
Hello,
i do this moment some tests, to understand, how k2 is working:

So i test the template override. It's very curious:

Here are the steps i do:

- copy the contents from /components/com_k2/templates
- paste it in /templates/mytemplate/html/com_k2 (by the way: i use jsn epic pro)
- so i have, for example this path: /templates/mytemplate/html/com_k2/default,
/templates/mytemplate/html/com_k2/generic.php
-- and so on...

When i duplicate the default folder (/templates/mytemplate/html/com_k2/default to "myNewOverride",
i can't see it in the k2 frontend categories,

but when i copy the folder templates from /components/com_k2 (the folder, not only the contents)
to /templates/mytemplate/html/com_k2/myNewOverride1, i can see it in the k2 frontend category..

But...
The template isn't OK.. it's a little bit defect when i take a look to the website, there is something wrong (not all), the override works.. when i change it in the folder myNewoverride1, i can see the change.

What's going wrong?? ;-)

Replied by Wolfgang Winter on topic Re: Templating with K2 --> template override
Hello,
I've solved the problem, good to write about it ;-)

The problem were, that jsn epic pro have allways a default folder in com_k2; i've to delete it / overwrite it, then anything goes good ;-)

K2 is really great :-)

Best regards
Wolfgang
