I need to make it where when a user submits a new item from the frontend, the category is set to a default category that they do not have to choose. I have searched and searched but all I can find is a fix for Joomla 1.5. I am running 2.5. Can anyone help me with this? Its a simple coding fix, but I am not good at coding. Thanks for the help in advance.

there are several posts here about it, and i remember one that uses css also

but i dont think in either case the category will be selected automatically, they will have to click it

I have already accomplished that. Choosing a category by default was done in 1.5. Can anyone figure out how to make it work in 2.5?

Please post the code to do that with 1.5 and we can take a look at it to see what needs to be changes for 2.5
