Is there a way to list a single item under multiple categories without duplicating the item?

I am using K2 on a music based website. Right now I have numerous categories for music genres. Each musician is listed as an item. The problem I am running into is some musicians fall into different genres and therefore would have to be listed in different categories. Is there a way to make this happen? I do not want to duplicate items, however, I'd like to be able to place them under multiple categories.
