Hi folks,

I am running a "kind of" community site where people in the local neighbor can exchange services for each other (I repair your car, you help me installing a light bulb). We have local meetings where people can meet, say what they seek and what they offer.

I did it with K2 and some k2_overrides, and so far it works fine. Each member gets a K2 account, they can add/edit their offers, and the search function helps to find offers.

But: the people tend note down the names instead of the titles of the offers, and K2 does not support any search function for the members. The members complain that they would like to find the offers based on the name ("get me all offers from Andrew").

Does anyone know an approach for a search function which would find a member? I'm not bad at PHP and programming, so adapting a search plugin or so would be do-able, but I need a kind of headstart, a hint, an idea how to approach this...
