How to display sub categories under an item was created by Bernard Buhagiar
Hi,

I have a website joomla with K2 here:
www.galdesandmamo.com/index.php/all-products

I am trying to do the following:
I click on an item example STANDOX item, then when this is clicked it takes me to a page with the description. In this page I want to display a list of products for this item.

How can I do this as I tried but with no success.

Thanks
Ben

No, but I wish that when you visit the STANDOX page you can view the products there. Is this possible?

Yes you can, but Sandox needs to be a separate Category, make it a child of your products category.

Check out this Page is for Restaurant Menu, but Idea is same, every menu Item is same as your product, every category ie Appetizers, Soups etc. is same as your category Sandox, Farecla etc.

Hi,

Yes managed to do it now. But I'm not sure if I did it correctly. The STANDOX and FARECLA I created them as seperate categories now. But although the products are displayed under the their respective categories, the products are also displayed in the main products page as well...

Is there a way to view items in their own category only ?

Hi Bernard,

In your all-products Category need to have no items, items you already have there move to your new categories eg.
You need to have Top Level Category = All-Products (No Items)
1st Child Category of All-Products = Standox + (Standox Item)
2nd Child Category of All-Products = Farecla + (Farecla Item)
3rd Chid Category of All-Products = Chemico + (Chemico Item)
etc etc etc

Every Child Category = 1 Brand + that brands item

Let me know how it looks when finished ok
