Seems like it should be ab option in the Group setting t o allow this or not.

How can I prevent certain groups from seeing or using the "Browse Server" option for images?

I also really need a response on this question as I do not want anyone to be able to get into the joomla media manager but do want them to be able to upload photos using the image button.
