Could anyone tell me how to sort each extra field's options alphabetically in the front end editor?

I've seen this listed in a number of posts as a problem, but I wasn't able to find one listing a solution.

As an example, one of my extra fields is "grammar focus." When I add an option it goes to the bottom of the list and is presented the same way in the front end editor. I purchased the K2 Filter and Search Module from Andrey Miasoedov and it does exactly what I want when presenting the extra field options to the user. How can I achieve the same result in the front end?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
