Uploading images into an item that have been taken on an iphone causes white screen and doesn't save.

The image filesize is only about 150k but the image dimensions are 3200px x2448, which is quite big.
Could that be the problem?

When I turn on advanced reporting it tells me that timeout has exceeded 20 seconds in class.upload.php

The funny thing is that I can upload images from other sources with smaller dimensions but much larger filesizes.
