I and people which use my extensions have a problem with K2 items.

The problem comes from the context when onContentPrepare event is triggered.
The context for item, media, gallery, extra fields is same for all - "com_k2.item".
And there is no chance to catch when is item, when is media, when is extra field.

My suggestion is...It will be great if everyone part of article have different context.

For example:

item = com_k2.item
media = com_k2.item.media
gallery = com_k2.item.gallery
extra field = com_k2.item.extra_field
....

Hi,

I am having this issue on my site.

I have a site based on K2 categories, subcategories and items, and I am using social buttons under every article item so people can share my content across social nets. Now I needed to create a new category, with articles with extensive use of extra fields, but I am stuck as at the moment the social and share buttons appear repeated under every extra field of the item, so the article is not presentable like this. I have used Todor's wonderful extensions and others, and it is always the same.
