I want to publish list the most recent articles/k2 items random wise. Is there any way i can have such Menu Item Type where i can publish Joomla Articles and K2 Items together?

you will need two menu choices
or
you could use two modules one for items and one for articles in side by side grid positions of a template to do what you want, then point the menu to the page with the modules
