I've searched for many hours for a solution to this and have come up empty handed.

I'd like to know if multiple levels of featured status can be achieved.. for example:

I have a featured business section and then i have a sponsored section. see here: www.americasbestfranchises.com/

OR have a local feature and a regional feature, where regional is always shown and local is shown when in a child category, see here: www.coupons-on-demand.com/home-repairs.

I imagine another check box and instead of "catItemIsFeatured" perhaps "catItemIsSecondary".

How could I accomplish this?
