Joomla 1.5.26 version

I have updated K2 to 2.6.3 version.

I have updated from a 2.x.x version to the latest one.

I had two categories and items inside them, after update all categories and items disappeared from the admin panel (back end).

I have no idea how to fix that as I have reinstalled the whole K2.

Any idea please?

Latest version ? 2.6.2 or 2.6.3?
You will probably have to use phpmyadmin to fix this

I have the K2 2.6.3 version and no, sorry I don't have a backup :-\

What can I do to fix this?

Would you recommend me to update Joomla from 1.5 to 2.5?
