I'm new to k2 and although it looks great; i've been trying to do one thing that is seemingly impossible. I've been tearing my hair out, but basically all I want to do is add a category link on the front page inside a position via a module.

I can add actual K2 content with the k2 content module, or indeed category listings using the k2 tool module, but neither are quite what i want.

I'd like to use one of the smaller positions on my front page, and have a category image displayed there, potentially with the category title overlapping it. Once clicked, it should take the user to that category page.

I've looked everywhere, but i can't seem to get this done. Am I missing something obvious??

ps. eg it should work just like a k2 category menu item; but then showing the category image in a module position...
