Hopefully their is an easy way to do this but I think I may need to rework the tag.php page

I want my tag and user pages to have a layout like my category pages

I have styled my category page here:
joomlahosting.com/hosting-guides/

I would like my tag and User pages to look similar
Tag Page: joomlahosting.com/tag/joomla/
User Page: joomlahosting.com/blog/paul-cowley/

you can see how the tag and user pages just display the entire post rather than the snippet.

It appears that the tag a category pages to not have the same config options as the category pages.

Any suggestions on the best way to give all three page types a similar look?
