Streamlining registration form

Hello K2ers.

I' trying to streamline and pare down my registration form, to make it easier for people to register.

Ideally I would like to just have following 3 required fields to create a user:

Email
Name ( or Username)
Password

No confirming email, confirming password, nothing extra.

How can I hack the user settings so that it works with only these 3 ?
