Duplicate URL's - Is this not fixed yet? was created by Andrew Stocker
Hey everyone,

I've updated to K2 v2.6.5 and have read the blog posts. I've followed the steps of the blog post but I still have a problem.

Say I make an item in category 1:

www.mysite.com/category1/item1

I can access that same item by changing the category in the URL:

www.mysite.com/category2/item1

Does anyone know an actual solution to stop this happening? I'm currently getting around 8 URL's being indexed all for one item.

Any tutorial or article explaining anything would be great. I've searched this forum but the mods seem to act very negatively towards people asking for help on this issue.

Thanks for your time.

I hope there is a solution as well. It's a nightmare for SEO and module assignment.

For example, I have a K2 item that shows different modules depending on where it's accessed from. If it's accessed from the site search, it shows the adsense modules. If it's accesed from Google's SERP, it doesn't show adsense modules as it's a different URL.

Making a menu item for each K2 item is out of the question if you want to keep sane.

Someone posted a hack some time back but that did not work, for me at least.
