[SOLVED] set Item ID for Tagcloud was created by Sebastian
I've got a K2 TagCloud on my website which is basically a quick search.
I've got the problem that the result page of the tag cloud includes all modules from the starting page of the tagcloud. For core Joomla there is a solution (set Item ID). I miss this functionallity in K2. Can someone tell me how to customize the tagcloud result page or how to set my idem id for k2 tagcloud?

I've got a similar problem. My K2 Tools tag cloud module automatically assigns the Itemid of the page that contains it, which may have some use in other scenarios, but my issue is that K2 requires an Itemid of type component -> tag in order to display the tag list results. The module isn't using the Itemid of a known menu item for tag list, and thus nothing displays.
A bad hack is to insert Itemid=whatever after the <?php echo $tag->link; ?> in the module template, but a hardcoded Itemid is hardly a solution and will make the module useless for other pages.
SEF is even worse. I'm hoping there's some procedural solution to this to stay within the K2 code expectations.

Hello Zane,
You should read this blog post about K2's advanced SEF => getk2.org/blog/1169-k2-v265-released
I think this is what you are looking for (Control over stray tag listings).
