Is there a maximum number of attachments allowed to add in an item?

It allows me to add 9 files (total size is 27mb, all pdf) and after that when I'm trying to add a new file after save (not save and close) it closes the item window, and take me to the k2 quick icons page, but the file is not added to a list.

anyone have some idea what's the problem?
