Configuring K2 login and editing registration fiel

Hi, I have 2 issues I would like help with if possible.

The first is regarding the K2 login functionality:
When a user logs in on the front end, currently it removes the login button and the logout button remains. A customer then has to click on the logout button to access the link back to his account page if they navigate away from the login landing page.
What i want to do, is have an 'account' button next to the logout button which will take them back to their account page.

The second thing i would like to do is edit the fields in their profile page - such as remove the fields such as 'what is your favourite book' and a number of other options.

Can anyone help with this?

web address is www.oxfordsportsphysio.co.uk

many thanks in advance.

Hello James,

Both of your issues you are describing are template specific.

I think you are using a regular Joomla! login module, so you should switch to a K2 login module which has all the link you want. I you are still having issues with this one this is a problem with your overrides, try using the default k2 login module and styling it.

The same goes for the profile page fields. You should look at your template since these are not K2 default fields.

Ok, I've managed to remove the basic settings fields!
Just the issue over adding the 'account' button alongside the logout button when a user is logged into the front end....

The template file you need to change is userblock.php located on your template's html folder in the mod_k2_user directory.

Open the default k2 user module (userblock.php) located on modules - mod_k2_user - tmpl and copy paste the parts you need for your template.

If you are using the old K2 login module please change it to the K2 user module
