help with turning everything off! was created by Keith Harris
hi

I have just started using K2 and to start with I want to turn everything off and then reintroduce the items as and when I need to. I am currently working on a website for my sailing club which needed to be done ASAP but I'm struggling with the enormous amounts of information in the K2 back End.

I only want to have the page title and the content text visible to users. I have tried hiding all of the elements in the parameters But this hasn't helped.

I want to turn off: the date the article was written, Written by, print/email ability, star ratings, Number of times read, Last modified on, Social media buttons, The articles written by list.

please could I also get some help how to show a list of articles in a category in a module position

thanks

Hello Keith,

Make sure your categories have the correct inheritance, and double check your category settings.
All the items you want to hide can be hidden from the category settings (item view options).

For displaying a list of articles from a certain category you will need the K2 module.

I am already using the standard K2 component. Is there another module I needed to list a category titles as a menu in the sidebar?

Hello Keith,

I already answered your question, you need the K2 content module to list items from a specified category/categories.

You should really look at the documentation section .

Almost all of your questions will be answered there.
