I use the K2 Tools module as a search box but I don't have any ordering options for the results. Need to order by featured items first.

I'm running v.2.6.5 but I can't see any updates on the modules have been done in v.2.6.6.

Can this be fixed somehow?

This can't be done plus the Joomla! search component does not support this ordering.
You will need to develop a plugin for this or look for one here or at the JED.
