We installed the userExtended fields for K2, and modified plugins/k2/userExtendedFields/userExtendedFields.xml in order to have our custom fields in the registration form. In the XML, according to Joomla's XML files, we set the required="true" option, but it doesn't seem to affect the registration: if the user doesn't compile these fields he's registered anyway!

What's the proper way to make some fields compulsory?
