I am trying to display the items within a category in the following order and I can't find a proper solution. Let's say I have these items in a category: apple, anchor, beat, cover, classmate, curtain... I need to display them like this:

A
apple
anchor

B
beat

C
cover
classmate
curtain

Could you help me out on thisone?

I've been doing some research into this kind of thing also (sort by category) and it looks like you'd have to modify some k2 core files. Specifically it looks like the com_k2/models/itemlist.php file that builds the SQL query.

I was originally hoping that there would be a way to override the models similar to the templates, but its looking less and less likely to be able to do that.
