Hello Luxe,

These URLS are generated from your menu items. You can either map every subcategory as a seperate menu item or use an SEO extension which will provide you with a "canonical" meta tag.

From a quick look at your source code I can see you are using the canonical meta tag so I don't see any reason these urls can have a negative impact on your SEO.

Since all URLs point Google towards the same page (with the canonical tag) you won't have an issue.

I have same problem here.

How to "map subcategories" ?
I made a separate menu item (not shown at the front-published) and it didnt help.

Are you saying we cannot have menus with dropdown submenus !!??
All K2 categories have to be only one menu item, and nothing under it ?

I don't know how you got that impression. I think I was very clear.
What I mean is one subcategory corresponds to one menu item.

OK. I have done this and still have same wrong canonical URLs as author of this topic.
I disabed canonical URLs in index.php because Google Webmaster tool warns for duplicates.
(all shown at top menu at frontend)

What to do else ?

I will have to redirect you to another answer => getk2.org/community/New-to-K2-Ask-here-first/6472-K2-SEO-issue---Can-it-be-fixed?limit=30&start=30

The last post only. (No need to read the entire thread obviously, although I think you are familiar with that thread.)

As you will notice you have two options. Finally are you using a plugin for canonical URLs or Joomla! 3.0 canonical tag? My personal suggestion is to use an extension if you already know of one.

I already tried this canonical plugin here from download area. Cleaned cache and browser, and same problem.

Tried also to activate K2 SEF management, didnt see any improvement.

I know that sh404sef probably would fix problem. But damn those websites if i will forever depend of sh404sef extension. No thanks, i disabled canonical generation.
