I am new to the K2 component and trying to learn my way around.
Basically, I have a demo/practice site with the front end set up so users and site visitors can register and post articles etc. after they self authenticate by going back to their inbox and following the auto email link. This worked very well the first time.
I scrubbed the site and rebuilt everything again setting the front end for self-authentication. This time, I get an 'Authentication Code' not received error, so I have to go to the back end and enable the account in order for it to work.
Will be very grateful for any suggestions on this issue.

Are you using the K2 user module or the default Joomla! module?
Also, which version of K2 and J! are you using?

No, I wasn't but found some information on how to use the k2 user module and it tested fine.
