Hello all!

I want to trim down my site, I have over 1.5 GB worth of data on it. My site has at least 2,000 K2 items on it, so I have some questions.

1. media/k2/items/src folder = what's the purpose of these images? Doesn't K2 items serve only images from media/k2/items/cache ?

2. what are some problems of commenting out the code in the core that creates 5 or 6 different sizes for each image?

3. could somebody point me to the code that does this?

Basically every k2 item I have uses medium images, and some xsmall images around the site for thumbnails. The rest could go and save me a ton of server space.

Hello Eduardo,

1. You can delete the src files but not the folder or the index.html file in order to save up some space.
2. I would not hack the core in your position, it could lead to unexpected results. I think with just deleting the src files you will have saved enough space.
3. If you hack the core you will lose your changes in the next update as well.
