Have created template to disable the image detail pop up.

Want to limit the pop-up on an item-by-item basis, not by category.

How can I do this? So far, I can only seem to assign a template to a category.

Maybe assign a class to each item where I don't want the pop up to show, but how can I do this?

If you know your way around coding you can do this with extrafields.
It is a simple if else statement.

a) Setup an extrafield (eg. Have pop up)
b) Check if this extrafield has a value or not (do not echo the value) and show the appropriate image.
