Hi, Ive used K2 on other sites and never had an issue.

On the current site im building, Joomla 2.5.11, when I try to install K2 2.6.6 it seems to work fine....

But under the components menu, instead of K2 its com-k2 and the sub items are all k2-something. If I click on any of the items, i get a 500 server error.

/administrator/index.php?option=com_k2. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Any ideas?

Hello Gareth,

Check your permissions for any issues in your configuration.php and your error log for any php errors.
Also you can try reinstalling K2.
