Item view options in subcategory listings was created by Tom
Hello,
I have a three-level tree: category -> subcategory -> item
I am trying to get all items from each subcategory and list them in the main category page, inside of each subcategory. I tried to disable the Catalog Mode but they appear after all subcategories.
Any ideas? Thank you! :)

Hello Tom,
You need a K2 content module for this one, or the latest items from users/categories view.

Thanks for the response Krikor.
I've tried adding content module as you said but I still can't get the items for each subcategory. It only shows as:
-Parent category
---Category1
---Category2
---Category3
I'm trying to get this:
-Parent category
---Category1
Item1.1
Item1.2
---Category2
Item2.1
---Category3
Item3.1
Item3.2
...
Thank you for your time

You can use three K2 content modules. One for each category.
On the other hand if you want to use the component view you have to use the latest item menu type and then select your categories.

Thank you again Krikor.
Maybe I haven't explained my problem clearly, I've attached an image to explain myself better.
The tree on the left is OK. The problem is when I'm in Parent Category 1 i don't want the latest items, instead of that I want every item inside of each category. For example, Item 1.1 and Item 1.2 inside of Category 1, and Item 2.1 inside of Category 2
It's possible to do this with K2 interface, or if it's not possible can i do it editing some files php?
Thank you!

Any ideas? Is this possible, or it's a payed feature?
I've searched about this and found a lot of people asking the same, but nobody has an answer
It would be interesting to group the items by category
Thank you

Hi Tom,
I agree with Krikor, I think the easiest & perhaps the only way short of a lot reprogramming of the cat.php file would be to create a item & add 4 content modules 1 to display all the sub-categories on the left hand column, & 3 for the individual subcategories.

Thank you guys, but still can't do what you suggest
The left column its okay with K2 Tools Module. But when you click a parent category you go to the category list: /component/k2/itemlist/category/2-subcategory-1
In this category page it shows the parent category name, the subcategories and some mixed items.
How can I add this 3 content modules you say inside this category?
Thank you so much!

Hello Tom,
You need to override category.php and render the module position. Then you have to map all your content in menus.
Finally you have to setup the modules and show them only on the menu items (categories/subcategeories) you wish.

But this way I'll lost all the potential of the dynamic Categories/Items
I think I will search for another joomla extension, or in worst case create a new one
Thanks everyone for the help, you can close the topic
