How can I change "read more" button was created by Peta
Hi there, I am new to Joomla and K2. I cannot stand the "read more" buttons on the items I've created through K2. I'd like them to say something else that points people to the images I have embedded in my item. Is there any way I can change "read more" to say "click here for more images" or something like that?
You can see my issue here: www.petajoyphotography.com.au/index.php/blog
Thanks

I think this can be done by overriding the K2_READ_MORE string value.
Login to the backend, go to Extensions > Language Manager>Overrides
Then click the New button
Enter K2_READ_MORE in the Language Constant text box, and enter click here for more images, or whatever you like, in the Text text area, then Save & Close.
This will override the readmore for all K2 items.
If you want to override it for a specific category items, you need to apply template override and override the string in the template file itself.
Login to the backend, go to Extensions > Language Manager>Overrides
Then click the New button
Enter K2_READ_MORE in the Language Constant text box, and enter click here for more images, or whatever you like, in the Text text area, then Save & Close.

Thank you so much!! It has worked!
I spent hours trying to figure it out myself - I'm so happy I finally came here to ask for help as I never would have got it by myself. Thanks heaps.

Hi
I know it's an old thread. But I'm having the same trouble. I'm running Joomla 3.3.3.
I have translated the language files correctly. I have also tried the override, but with no luck at all.
The damn read more still there. It neeeds to be in Danish
Regards
Ivan

Hello Ivan,
First of all make sure that you have installed the proper K2 language pack.
Then make sure that Read more is not hardcoded in your template.
