I've created a clone site that I want to make a French language site. Have installed and made the Joomla language pack the default.

"Read more" etc not in French in K2 items.

Installed the K2 language pack, but can't find where to activate it? Is it a plugin? Most of my content is K2 so need this to be in French. Are there language options to configure somewhere that I can't find?

Any ideas?

Well... it now seems to be working. I went ahead with reasigning language defaults to content, categories, menus and it now seems to be working.

So, I guess it is dependant on the default language setting in Joomla.
