I've enabled the option "Show Extra Fields" in Item view options in category listings and now i can see al the extra fields for every item in category listings, but inside the item i can't see them anymore. Is this normal or is it a bug?

You should enable showing extra fields in the item view options as well, you will find it directly below the item view options in category listings section.
