Problem with front end editing was created by Pall
Just wanted to know if anyone had similar issues as me. I set up a new site locally and I was using K2 for users and editing articles on the front end (was included in the template I bought). Everything worked perfectly on my local machine but after I deployed I got some strange error for the K2 users class so i reinstalled the latest 2.6.6 package and the error was fixed. Now I cannot edit articles on the front end? I see the edit link but when I click it the form only loads the title box but the complete layout is missing along with all other fields.

Do you have any idea what the problem could be? All users are assigned the correct user group and have the correct edit details? Its the same problem when I want to create a new article in the front end. I only get the title and alias box but everything else is missing.

Hello Pall,

It seems you have an issue with your itemform.php Grab a fresh copy of K2, locate the itemform.php (located under components/com_k2/templates/default/) and move it to your template's override folder.

Let me know if the problem persists.

Thanks for a quick reply. I just downloaded K2 and replaced the page you mentioned but the problem persists.

Im not 100% sure if this is linked to K2 but as I said this is working perfectly on my local machine.

You will have to perform one of/some of these tasks to locate the issue:

Check for any permission issues (you can use AdminTools to correct them).
Check for any inconsistencies in your tmp and log folder setup.
Finally if you cannot locate the issue they using the default template (system) to make sure your template does not have any issues.

PS. you can see check for potential issues with your setup in the System Information tab.
This is located in the backend of your site under the Site menu item.
