Unpublished articles was created by Stefano Messina
Hi all, i have a strange problem.

A client have some articles published, with a date set for auto-unpublish. The problem is that when the date comes, the article gets unpublished correctly from frontend, but in admin it remains with the status "published", making difficult to get what's published and what it's not.

Is there a way to fix this (natively or from other extensions)?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Stefano,

These items remain published but they also expired not unpublished. You can see seperate them in the backend from quite easily. I have attached a screenshot for you with an expired item.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately items automatically unpublished retain all the "elements" of published ones, and i don's see what you showed in the screenshot... can it be because of the old K2 version?

Anyway it will suffice to append a different class to the image, so I can change it to another via CSS. It's possibile?

Which version are you using, btw you should always have your components updated.

Depending on your Joomla! version some data attributes or classes are present you can use your browser's developer tools to check which classes suit you.

I'm using Joomla 1.7 and K2 2.5.1.

I know that they're old, but there was some plugins that showed problems with 2.5, so i left thing as they were.

I am sorry but Joomla! 1.7 is not supported. You should upgrade asap due to security concerns.

I upgraded K2 to version 2.5.5, which solved my problem.

But now there's way more serious problem: i cannot save an article... if i try to modify an existing article or when i create a new article, pressing "Save" brings a white screen (some PHP error i guess)... it'a a shame because the fix in the items view starts from this version... (2.5.4 doesn't have it)

Can anyone help me?

I am terribly sorry but Joomla! 1.7 is not supported, you should upgrade to Joomla! 2.5.x or 3.x series in my opinion asap.

For the time being you should revert to an older version.

I upgraded Joomla 1.6 to 2.5, but my site is very simple. That was just following the progression of patches as described in the Joomla Forum about migrating to 2.5 .
