Remove date in URL, but how??? was created by AMNIO concepts
Hello,
using latest version of joomla and latest version of K2.
I have problem with SEF, because there is a date showing in my URLS, but I dont want that.
e.g.: www.atmmachinery.com/2013-06-12-19-22-35/table-models.html
Must be: www.atmmachinery.com/table-models.html
Any suggestions on how to change?
I enabled advanced SEF :)

look in menu manager for a 'menu item type' of "External URL", and if you can, change it to "Text Separator", the date is there becuase you can't set an alias for 'external url', so it defaults, to a date
though note that you now may have an url like: www.atmmachinery.com/alias-name/table-models.html
i'll help more if needed

I am having the same issue. My urls are very weird. I followed the "Text Separator" information, but it's not resolved the problem. Here's a sample url.
www.deeclarepublishing.com/publ/index.php/2013-11-14-21-18-33/design/book-cover-design
Please advise.

@Deneen Matthews and nadia
Make sure that your menu alias doesn't have this date. Usually when you create a Menu Alias type menu item Joomla! creates the date as the alias of that menu item.
