Overnight K2 has stop working on our website. Everything else seems to be working fine the only problem seems to be when trying to save a new article or update and old one. This error happens with a blank white screen.

The PHP version is 5.3.3
Joomla is 2.5.11

No recent changes were made to the server it just seemed to have happened over night.

I am not sure why this library is causing this error.
You should backup (very important) and try reinstalling Joomla! and K2's latest version.

Then backup your DB as well (if you are not using Akeeba Backup) and repair and optimise all your tables.

I have Akeeba Backup so I should backup the current version.

Delete everything, reinstall a fresh Joomla and restore the back up from Akeeba?

If I backup the current Joomla, won't that just restore the problem?

Back it up as well in order to have a starting point. A lot can go wrong so it's good to have a worst case scenario, trust me on this one.

I would not go as far as deleting everything at start.
I would make sure my server was up and running and it is not facing any hardware issues (your hosting partner will know better, I am sure).

I would just reinstall K2 and Joomla! at first and see how that goes. Let me know how that went.

I have restored the sever to a back up a couple days ago.

Issue has disappeared :) not sure what caused it but will take another backup in a day or two just in case
