K2 content module on secure site doesn't work was created by Corine Teeuwen
Hi,

we want to use SSL on our site.

When I turn this on in joomla config, the K2 content module on our front-page breaks / doesn't work correctly, in Chrome. It does work in Firefox and Safari.

I want to add two images, one of how is looks in Chrome without https, and one with how it looks with https but the attachtments part doesn't work here....

joomla 2.5.11, php 5.3.25, k2 v2.6.6

I checked the module files for insecure connections but couldn't find any.

any ideas?

Hello Corine,

Can you post a URL so I can check it out?

I am afraid there are a lot of .JS conflicts in your site.

These are causing your slideshow to stop functioning.
I get the error [blocked] The page at rsfeva-klasse.nl/ ran insecure content from ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js.

Your template is not loading jQuery properly it should be

Browsers have their own policy on accepting/rejecting 'unsecure' content.

Using http:// in front of your JS scripts in Chrome means they will fail to load in https:// sites.

Hey, just wanted to share here. I at first didn't understand, cause I was sure I had replaced everything with secure connections.

did a server-wide in-file search for ajax.googleapi - checked them ALL...

and guess what.... this client uses a commercial template, which has installed a system plugin called jqueryeasy ... and there you need to select http or https in the plugin settings.

so since it is a parm, it didn't show up in my search!

but found it....

thankx for pointing me in the right direction!
