K2 login not giving custom error message

Hi there,
when giving an incorrect login, a user is diverted to a joomla 500 error page.
This should be a custom error message.

The error shows correctly locally on my test site but does not in the live site.

I can't imagine how anything could have changed but could you point me to the right file so i can check the code?

site is www.oxfordsportsphysio.co.uk

Many thanks for your help

James

Hello James,

The file you should edit is the mod_k2_user/login.php .
Try viewing your site with the default template (using /?template=system as a URL suffix) to check if the issue is caused from your overrides.

You can also backup your files and delete the overrides to check if the default ones work fine.
Finally make sure to check for any com_users overrides as well and make sure the Login & logout redirection options in your module's params are correct.

For more info on overriding please read this tutorial: getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/174-templating-with-k2-and-the-concepts-of-sub-templates
