are you using a responsive theme? (one that resizes and reorganizes everything depending on screen size)

i like to modify things, and make them do unintended things

Hi Eric,

I just checked your post where you explained how to resize images in Parameters and category or Item view (Inherit) ... i followed step by step , but the only change that occourred was that the image size remains the same , but the quality drastically went down.

so i checked the rockettheme hp for some help , but beside that they love K2 there is no help to tackle that issue . eg Gantry Framework .... but nothing . Meaning that the template seems not to be compatible with K2 after all especially when you want to post images on your site.

Is there some aproach from the K2 developement for that kind of issues ...saw some posts already...

If not ... i think K2 doen´t work for me as i have to add tons of images.......

I need assistance pls.

Got to the K2 thirdparty css file in the template looking like this:

body #k2Container.itemListView .itemList #itemListLeading .catItemImage img{border:0;margin:10px 0 5px 0;padding:0;max-width:100%;width:100% !important;}

I´m not a Css guy , .... so my question .... what has to be removed from that code?

thanx in advance

Hello Yoda,

This is issue is not related to K2 but to your template styling.
the width:100% !important; forces all these images to stretch to 100% at almost all views.

I am pretty sure that if you mention this to the RC support they will be happy to assist you.

thanx for that ...

turned off K2 styling in the template manager and image sizes changed ... but also the entire k2 styling..

like no more comments , ratings , no read more buttons

interresting also that the similar problem from a rocketeer was resolved by going into the k2 css ...hm

www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=92&t=194077&rb_v=viewtopic

Is there anything to say about my aproach listed above ... from K2 perspective??

the code width 100% is from the k2 css

Cheers

This code is from your template overrides. It overrides the default K2 styling which was developed by us. This stylesheet was developed by RT.

From K2 perspective this approach is purely CSS so apart from any visual changes it won't affect or break anything.

Since this is a template specific issue you should enable k2 styling, remove the 100% widths and ask RT which parts to remove as well.
