I just installed a new site with K2 v 2.6.7. I tried to enable frontend editing, but so far not successful.

Observations:
1) When logged in using the K2 User module, no menu option to add a new article (item) shows up
2) In "My page" no buttons appear that allow to launch the editor
3) on any other page, the buttons to launch the front end editor also remain abscent.

I'm using the admin account as front-end user, therefore I think I have sufficient privileges.

Are your K2 User groups correctly set up (not your Joomla! user groups)?

Thanks, it is indeed as simple as that. Turns out that the Super User is by default in the Registered User group and not in the Site Owner group.
