I'm not sure if this is more of a general templating thing or what, but I am trying to modify K2 so that the layout is more like this:

Basically, instead of having two columns where the content is on the left and the sidebar is on the right - I want to have a single full width column at the top (where the K2 content will be placed) and then two columns underneath (the left will contain a Disqus comment module and some custom PHP code, the right will stay as the regular sidebar).
Is it possible to tell K2 which position to load content into? Would it just be a matter of making an extra position at the top and then changing a couple lines of code somewhere? Or does K2 always place the content in a specific location?
