Hello i am using 2.5.11 and tinyMCE editor.

I have managed to create templates in mytemplate/html/com_k2/templates/my_version

Also i have managed to remove some fields in "my version" itemform-php

But i can´t remove some tinyMCE editor functions.
I mean, i don´t want frontend acess users have acess to all tinyMCE functions, like (add image, add article, breakline, etc"

So how can i remove some tinyMCE editions options in "my version" itemform.php?

I appreciate your attention. This should be a peace of cake for php coders ;)

Regards

Hello guida,

You need to edit the editor's settings. You can do this by going to Extensions => Plugin Manager.

My proposed solution is to strip down the functionality of one editor and use it for your default editor and then assign to the users you want another editor, or use an editor which is more versatile and supports multiple profiles for frontend editing and users.

Hello Krikor!

your answer makes lots of sense!

It is a great tip.
I want registered users to edit texts in the front-end. So "the special" item form view would be just for this user group.

I acessed the tinymice plugin in the backend, there are many functions! but i guess this editor doesnt support different user profiles settings.
Which one could help? JCE?

I appreciate your attention!

JCE does in fact support multiple profiles and plays well with K2.

My final suggestion is to always keep your editor up to date. An outdated editor is a serious security issue.
