Hi!

I have a site that is on Joomla 2.5. I want to use a Joomla 3.0 template from SmartAddons and a quickstart package. The articles are recently imported to the K2 component (in the 2.5 site)

Is this possible?

1. Install the quickstart
2. Install K2 on the new Joomla 3.0 site
2. Copy the K2 articles from our old 2.5 site (about 3-400 of them)
3. Paste them in the new 3.0 database.

Then their categories and articles would be shown under the K2 article system.

It would be great if this is possible! If K2 is not possible the next best solution would be to import the old articles from Joomla article system.

Hello Ola,

Depending on your setup a lot of other dependancies might be present so c/p'ing DB tables might not be the best option. You can use an online service like CMS2CMS or you can use an extension like Admin Tools to upgrade your Joomla! installation to 3.1.x
