i see shared hosting have limitation on uploaded file size and php timeout.

i see i can buy dedicated hosting for hundreds of dollars per mounth to solve this.

i don't feel like spending that much from the beginning, but on my site for users to upload big files (up to 30MB) as k2 item images it's crucial!

what would you do?

In K2's params you can increase these values ( max-execution time Advanced Image Settings tab).

For the image upload you can use a php.ini file.

FYI you can get a small VPS for as low as 7euros a month.
